5 Best Concealers Ever!!

Hi Girlies!!

Eid Al-Fitr Mubarak! Hope you all had an amazing time with your family and friends...

Ramadan and Eid kept me busy, but without any delay - Here are the best products to hide those tired eyes!!

Best Under Eye Concealers!!

Bobbi Brown Corrector and Concealer

This peach tinted concealer is perfect for dark circles under the eyes as it counteracts the blueness (orange/peach is the opposite of blue on the color  wheel, therefore the colors balance each other out). Correctors work differently than traditional concealers in that they are colored- specifically for correcting a specific issue (ie blueness under the eyes looking like dark shadows or circles). The gel like consistency is perfect for under the eyes. It won’t cake up or look too dry. It glides easily, isn’t too thick, and covers extremely well.

To apply I simply take my ring finger and swipe the smallest amount under my eyes before I apply my foundation. If you don’t wear foundation, then you will simply need a color close to your skin which is not peach, As the Bobbi Brown Concealer Kit, you will love every bit of using this product.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat
Even though this is actually claimed to be a “skin brightener”, but it works well as just a plain ole’ concealer. ;) I use this under the eyes, BUT I apply after my foundation. You do not need this in addition to correctors, as you don’t want to apply too much product, especially under the delicate eye area.
The consistency of this is a bit creamy versus a gel, but it isn’t so thick to where it emphasizes any wrinkles or crevices. If you don’t have bad dark circles, then this should be plenty coverage for you.  I suggest getting a shade lighter than your skin to help brighten up the area.
To apply, gently sweep this under the eyes after applying foundation. Or you can apply straight to bare skin if you wish to skip foundation, just be sure to blend really well.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
This is without doubt the best drugstore concealer ever! This comes in a tube and has a wand much like a lipgloss would. It’s easy to apply and blends into the skin smoothly and evenly. It’s a thin, liquid formula that covers and hides imperfections incredibly well. It also hides dark under eye circles, no problem. This concealer is available in 6 different shades catering for either pink or yellow undertones. The best way to apply this is to sweep it under the eyes or around the nose where you need it and blend it with either your ring finger or concealer brush.
This has a smooth formula and doesn't get at all cakey. It does have a slight smell but is nothing offensive or too harsh. I find this is a great dupe for the YSL Touche Éclat. This is ideal for those days when you don’t want to wear a full face of foundation but still want to cover any darkness or imperfections you may have.

Best Concealers for Blemishes!!
MAC Studio Finish Concealer
The difference between undereye concealers and blemish concealers is simply the texture: concealers that work best on blemishes have a thicker, creamier texture. I love this MAC one as it covers incredibly well and doesn’t look cakey like some cream concealers can. It comes in a convenient little pot which is great for travel, and it is available in a variety of different shades.

Makeup For Ever Camouflage Cream
This palette was my first love for concealers! I love how well it covers the blemishes and how it doesn’t get cakey. The texture is almost exactly like MAC’s Studio Finish, but it includes 5 shades in one sleek palette, perfect for custom blending.
To apply, I dab my finger (clean finger *cough cough*) into the concealer and dab over the blemish. Do NOT swipe as it will streak instead of covering the blemish, especially if it is raised.
If you need just a little coverage under the eyes, this could work, but be sure to apply with a concealer brush so you get a super thin layer.

Let me what you think about these products in the comments section below!

5 Makeup Tricks to Steal

The more you know how to utilize your beauty tools, the more fun you can have (not to mention, the more money you’ll save).
Here are some of my favorites simple tips n tricks that anyone can do, that’ll make you feel—and look—like a pro.

1. The Matte Factor: You can turn any lipstick matte by adding a small amount of powder blush on top. Apply lipstick, blot with a tissue, and pat blush on top with your finger until it's fully matte. This is a perfect way to test matte texture to see if you like it while utilizing products you already have.

2. Ms. Mix-A-Lot: You can easily make an at home tinted moisturizer by mixing your foundation with your daily moisturizing cream. This will thin out the texture of your makeup when you want sheer coverage, and hydrate your skin at the same time.

3. Double Duty Eyes: Did you know mascara can double as an eyeliner? Smudge some mascara from your wand on your hand, and apply as a liner with a brush to the lash line. Finish with 3 coats of the same mascara on the lashes. This is a great tip for traveling.

4. Instant Brow Lift: Highlight brows with concealer and blend with a foundation brush. By placing concealer around the brows and blending, you add shape and lift, without an eye-raising bill from the plastic surgeon.

5. Cheeky Fix: Lipstick can double as a cream blush when you're in a bind. There was this one time and I left my blushes in a different makeup bag that wasn't with me. I used a soft peach lipstick blended on the cheek instead, and voila: instant cream blush!

Have any clever makeup tricks of your own? Fill us in below!

My dear friends, here I bring you my Amazon Keratin Review!! A Product from USA..
I met these beautiful ladies at the BeautyWorld Middle East 2014

Benefits of the Treatment
* It can be done for all types of hair
* Infuses keratin protein deeply into hair
* Eliminates frizz and repairs hair
* Leaves them Smooth, Silky and Healthy

Application Process:

Step 1: Clarifying
The Clarifying shampoo removes residue from scalps and opens hair's cuticles for better absorption of the keratin treatment.

Step 2: Application and Drying
Separate hair in 8 sections and tie each section.. Took about 1 ounce of it in a bowl then applied the keratin treatment from roots to tips and they made sure every strand receives the treatment. Left it for about 15-20 mins then Blow dried the hair until they were 100% dry.

Step 3: Ironing
At about 230C /450F they Flat ironed all the hair, section by section from root to ends.

And Viola! they were Silky, Shiny and Straight

It took about 3 1/2 hours to complete the entire process

Then there were some instructions given to me to wash my hair with only water the following day and the next day I can use shampoo and conditioner... Following day on I can style as required :D Isn't that kool ;)

LOTD: Sweet Touch

This week I tried some new products, a brand called Sweet Touch...
You will be able to see their stall at the Beauty World Middle East 2014...
I created this look using these products as follows:
Mineralized Foundation
Review: The consistency is too thick and okay to blend, but it stayed on all day.. Stayed perfectly in the current humidity in Dubai..
Eyeshadows
Review: Lovely choice of colors, not very easy to blend but great colors pay off..
Blush
Review: Good colors but too shiny.. Might work well with Asian Bridals I guess, and to use way tiny amount and works well..
Lip Liner
Review: Good colors but a tiny bit dry..
Lipstick
Review: The pink color I tried felt like Satin Matte and they have a lot of Nude and Dark colors too, like a Vampire Red and Dark Plum. So if u are into dark shades of colors then u should check them out at the Beautyworld.
Lipgloss
Review: Sorry to the product but it was not even glossy, I had to keeping applying the product again n again but wasn't satisfactory..
Pressed Powder
Review: That did set the foundation good and helped me tone down that shiny blush..

'SO ECO' MakeUp Brushes Review

"This Face Brush Kit by 'So Eco' contains four different brushes used for the perfect application of instant make-up."

I know what you're all thinking, "So Eco, I've never heard of that brand before" well here's why...
The 'So Eco' range of make up brushes and tools is brand new! They're fresh from the factory and until now I have only seen them in Spinneys(Dubai) or at  www.amazon.co.uk at the moment.
I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I am to be one of the first in Dubai to review and share this brand with you all!

The biggest selling points of the So Eco brushes will definitely be the fact that they are made from sustainable materials, they're recyclable (literally everything, from the products packaging to the bristles on the brushes). They are cruelty free and the brushes are cut and trimmed by hand to give them that extra special finish.

I chose the Face Brush Kit to try out, mainly because of the fact that it contained a makeup brush for each area of the Face ;-) but also down to the fact that the set comes in a beautiful natural cotton wrap which is an ideal way to store your brushes! The brushes may be Eco-friendly but they are also practical and usable for every day make-up application.

The brushes themselves have handles made entirely of bamboo, and have super soft, fine bristles which make them really comfortable and easy to use. There are four brushes in the set, which includes an Eyeshading Brush, Foundation Brush, Blush Brush and a Finishing Brush. They are all going to become part of my daily make up routine.

Overall I think these brushes are good quality, works well with products and super soft, have a nice appearance/packaging, and are very competitively priced with other brush brands. There are a range of other types of brushes which you can check out on the Amazon Website for Online shopping or also check out in Spinneys Dubai!!

The world is a beautiful place, so let's keep it that way.
Love the Quote written on the 'So Eco' packaging ;-) and found it amazing the way they have explained how everything is so Eco-friendly :)

What do you think of this set? Will you be trying some of the brushes?
Stay Beautiful..

Love Neha xoxo

Sassy Curls in less than 5 minutes

There is no doubt that women are constantly in a hurry, late for a meeting or for a club (OMG, that sounds like Me. LOL). Nevertheless, we always want to look our best wherever we go.
Whether you are struggling to get ready quickly in the morning or you just want to look great without spending too much time in front of the mirror, here is an easy way to do that – curl your hair in less than 5 minutes! This lovely hairstyle will sure change your look..
Before starting, plug in your curling iron and let the temperature heat up. Make sure your hair is completely dry otherwise you will damage not only the iron, but your hair as well.

Step 1: Pull your entire hair into a ponytail.Secure with hair elastic. Place your hair in front of your face.
Step 2: Looking at the mirror, grab the iron and take one strand of your hair. Wrap your strand around and run the iron up to the ponytail. Hold it in place for no longer more than 1 minute.
Step 3: Repeat until you curl the entire ponytail. Use hairspray to keep your curls longer.
Step 4: Remove the hair elastic. Finger comb or brush the bouncy curls for sassy and wavy look. And Viola!

Try doing it..... if you love it.. Let me know ;-)

Stay Beautiful my loves.

Neha xoxo

The All New Urban Decay Electric Palette

Oooh, I know a lot of you are excited to see this review, because no matter how much you read about this palette. you keep wanting to know more.. Atleast I do !!
Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you- The long awaited Urban Decay Electric Palette.

Out in Urban Decay Land, we have been Naked for quite a long time. Naked, Naked 2, Naked 3, Naked Skin, Naked Blush, Naked BB Cream.. A lot of nakedness. Many people were asking “UD, where’s the color?! Where’s the bright?! WHEREE?!”  Lol..
Here, my friends, is your answer. This is the latest from Urban Decay- a palette filled with 10 super bright shades (many of which are matte) and 8 of which are new (We have the return of Chaos and Revolt Eyeshadows here as well, both of which we have seen before).
So for everyone who has been waiting for Urban Decay to show their bright side again, read on for more photos and swatches! And important information below...
 Revolt Eyeshadow
Revolt is a repromote shade first seen in the Anarchy Face Case. This is a very pigmented metallic silver with silver glitter.
 Gonzo Eyeshadow

Gonzo is a bright blue matte eyeshadow with silver micro glitter. Urban Decay describes this one as being turquoise, but I’d say its definitely more of a jazzy straight blue.
 Slowburn Eyeshadow
Slowburn is an orangey red matte with slight pearl. Nice and pigmented, Oh my! how I love this pigment..Keeps reminding me the Dubai Heat ;)

Savage Eyeshadow
Savage is a bright, beautiful hot pink matte. Great color payoff  here!
 Fringe Eyeshadow
Fringe is a metallic teal. AMAZING color payoff and texture! Possibly my favorite shade in the palette.

Chaos Eyeshadow
Chaos is another repromote, and is a cobalt blue matte with blue pearl. You may remember this shade from the Vice palette a few years back. But its back again... Pleased with the bright blue.. But wonder how am I gona use this color?, haha!

 Jilted Eyeshadow
Jilted is a metallic fuchsia with a blue shift. Like all of the metallic shades in this palette, this has really great color payoff and blends amazingly!
 Urban Eyeshadow
Urban is a vivid true metallic purple. Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful shade. I can just dive into that color!!
 Freak Eyeshadow
Freak is a bright pastel green with lots of shimmer and a bit of a gold shift. I remember when Freak Eye Pencil came out and how excited I was, but in the eyeshadow form, not really sure!
 Thrash Eyeshadow
Thrash is a lime green matte with gold pearl.
I love that this palette comes with a variety of mattes and metallics. Most of the mattes aren’t true matte, as they do have some pearl to them, but it’s not enough to really notice when you apply them, it’s more to help the shade be easier to blend out (and it really does make a difference).
As pretty as these shades are, I do have a couple issues with this palette. First of all, it’s really, really blue toned. There’s three blue shades, and two blue-toned purples, in a 10 pan palette. I feel like at least one of the blues could go (Gonzo is probably my least favorite here, All the others being my absolute fave!). The shade is nice, but nothing revolutionary. It’s not too hard to come by a metallic blue, and I wish that spot in the palette was used for something else (Like a bright matte YELLOW! I can’t tell you guys how much I wish this palette had a yellow!) I'm a very fun-loving person, so there goes colors do interest me and I'm in Love with the palette....Its like a Must Have for my Kit.. and all you other color lovers out there.... Also, some of these shades will definitely Stain (I’m looking at you, Savage!)
Another thing to be aware of is blending the different textured eyeshadows. it definitely takes a bit more work to blend a matte and a metallic so that they are seamless, so just something to keep in mind.
Something else worth mentioning: on the back of the palette, it saysWARNING: Slowburn, Savage, Jilted, and Urban are not intended for the immediate eye area”. This is pretty important and something I did notice while checking out the colors, so I can post this info for you all! I have never had any issues with shades like those causing irritation around my eyes, but if you plan on using them, please be aware of the warning. It is surprising, considering this really seems to be marketed as an eyeshadow palette, yet has 4 of the 10 eyeshadows marked as not safe for eyes. Now, I know they need to post this warning as a liability, as some pigments in this are not FDA approved (simply meaning the FDA has not tested them for the eye area. These colors are safe in European countries) and they are covering themselves in case someone tries to sue, but I did want to make sure I mentioned that there was a warning here.
Overall I am excited about this palette, Can't wait to experiment more on these colors.                    I came up with my First Look using the palette!! I'm Lovin It !! Stay tuned for many more to come...
In this look: Shades I used;
Urban and Savage on the upper inner corner of the eye,                                                                                 Revolt in the center of the eye lid,                                                                                                                           Fringe and Freak to the upper outer corner then,                                                                                         Thrash to the lower inner corner and Slowburn to the lower outer corner.                               Maybelline gel liner and Faux lashes by The Face Shop and Lip Balm by Revlon.
This palette is available since March 18th on Urban Decay’s Website. Also worth mentioning :-            This palette is PERMANENT!! Whoopiee!!!
What do you guys think? Is this an insta-buy or something to hold off on?
Stay Beautiful...
Love,
Neha <3
