5 Best Concealers Ever!!

Hi Girlies!!

Eid Al-Fitr Mubarak! Hope you all had an amazing time with your family and friends...

Ramadan and Eid kept me busy, but without any delay - Here are the best products to hide those tired eyes!!

Best Under Eye Concealers!!

Bobbi Brown Corrector and Concealer

This peach tinted concealer is perfect for dark circles under the eyes as it counteracts the blueness (orange/peach is the opposite of blue on the color  wheel, therefore the colors balance each other out). Correctors work differently than traditional concealers in that they are colored- specifically for correcting a specific issue (ie blueness under the eyes looking like dark shadows or circles). The gel like consistency is perfect for under the eyes. It won’t cake up or look too dry. It glides easily, isn’t too thick, and covers extremely well.

To apply I simply take my ring finger and swipe the smallest amount under my eyes before I apply my foundation. If you don’t wear foundation, then you will simply need a color close to your skin which is not peach, As the Bobbi Brown Concealer Kit, you will love every bit of using this product.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat
Even though this is actually claimed to be a “skin brightener”, but it works well as just a plain ole’ concealer. ;) I use this under the eyes, BUT I apply after my foundation. You do not need this in addition to correctors, as you don’t want to apply too much product, especially under the delicate eye area.
The consistency of this is a bit creamy versus a gel, but it isn’t so thick to where it emphasizes any wrinkles or crevices. If you don’t have bad dark circles, then this should be plenty coverage for you.  I suggest getting a shade lighter than your skin to help brighten up the area.
To apply, gently sweep this under the eyes after applying foundation. Or you can apply straight to bare skin if you wish to skip foundation, just be sure to blend really well.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
This is without doubt the best drugstore concealer ever! This comes in a tube and has a wand much like a lipgloss would. It’s easy to apply and blends into the skin smoothly and evenly. It’s a thin, liquid formula that covers and hides imperfections incredibly well. It also hides dark under eye circles, no problem. This concealer is available in 6 different shades catering for either pink or yellow undertones. The best way to apply this is to sweep it under the eyes or around the nose where you need it and blend it with either your ring finger or concealer brush.
This has a smooth formula and doesn't get at all cakey. It does have a slight smell but is nothing offensive or too harsh. I find this is a great dupe for the YSL Touche Éclat. This is ideal for those days when you don’t want to wear a full face of foundation but still want to cover any darkness or imperfections you may have.

Best Concealers for Blemishes!!
MAC Studio Finish Concealer
The difference between undereye concealers and blemish concealers is simply the texture: concealers that work best on blemishes have a thicker, creamier texture. I love this MAC one as it covers incredibly well and doesn’t look cakey like some cream concealers can. It comes in a convenient little pot which is great for travel, and it is available in a variety of different shades.

Makeup For Ever Camouflage Cream
This palette was my first love for concealers! I love how well it covers the blemishes and how it doesn’t get cakey. The texture is almost exactly like MAC’s Studio Finish, but it includes 5 shades in one sleek palette, perfect for custom blending.
To apply, I dab my finger (clean finger *cough cough*) into the concealer and dab over the blemish. Do NOT swipe as it will streak instead of covering the blemish, especially if it is raised.
If you need just a little coverage under the eyes, this could work, but be sure to apply with a concealer brush so you get a super thin layer.

5 Makeup Tricks to Steal

The more you know how to utilize your beauty tools, the more fun you can have (not to mention, the more money you’ll save).
Here are some of my favorites simple tips n tricks that anyone can do, that’ll make you feel—and look—like a pro.

1. The Matte Factor: You can turn any lipstick matte by adding a small amount of powder blush on top. Apply lipstick, blot with a tissue, and pat blush on top with your finger until it's fully matte. This is a perfect way to test matte texture to see if you like it while utilizing products you already have.

2. Ms. Mix-A-Lot: You can easily make an at home tinted moisturizer by mixing your foundation with your daily moisturizing cream. This will thin out the texture of your makeup when you want sheer coverage, and hydrate your skin at the same time.

3. Double Duty Eyes: Did you know mascara can double as an eyeliner? Smudge some mascara from your wand on your hand, and apply as a liner with a brush to the lash line. Finish with 3 coats of the same mascara on the lashes. This is a great tip for traveling.

4. Instant Brow Lift: Highlight brows with concealer and blend with a foundation brush. By placing concealer around the brows and blending, you add shape and lift, without an eye-raising bill from the plastic surgeon.

5. Cheeky Fix: Lipstick can double as a cream blush when you're in a bind. There was this one time and I left my blushes in a different makeup bag that wasn't with me. I used a soft peach lipstick blended on the cheek instead, and voila: instant cream blush!

Skin Care during Holy Ramadan!!

Hey there, beautiful ladies,

Ramadan Kareem to all of you!!

While you are fasting, your body and skin goes through many changes and for this reason you need to take special care of your skin. Skin care in Ramadan is very important to have a fresh look all daylong so that you do not look wearied out to your family and friends. And, for this the first few things to know are skin related problems that may arise during Ramadan.

Dehydration is the most common threat that is associated to the summer season. Due to dehydration, the skin becomes dull and faint. On the top of it, when you are fasting, you cannot take the amount of liquid that you would usually take during the day to keep you hydrated. Your meal times also change during this month, making your skin prone to many diet related hazards, which also affect the quality of your skin.
Following are the some skin care tips for the Holy month of Ramadan.
Ø  Diet is very important because it has direct effect on the skin. Avoid eating oily and spicy food items because these can turn your skin oily and result in the outgrowth of pimples, acne and skin rashes.
Ø  Eat a good amount of fresh vegetables and fruits in suhoor and iftaar to provide essential nutrients to the skin.
Ø  Protect yourself and your skin from the harmful effects of the dehydration; drink a lot of liquids between iftaar and suhoor.
Ø  If your skin is dry then you should do cleansing and toning regularly.
Ø  Women with oily skin should not use oily creams and lotions in Ramadan.
Ø  It is good to wash your face with plain water frequently. Along with the moisturizing your face, it also removes the extra oil and dust from the skin.
Ø  Spray rose water 3-4 times a day on sensitive parts of your skin during Ramadan to keep your skin cells fresh.
Ø  Avoid cosmetics as much as you can.

If you have to go to work or you have to wear makeup on daily basis for some reason, then you must try these tips.
·         Light-weighted foundation looks good and hides the spots on your skin.
·         Use blush-on of matte light colors like peach, pink or bronzers.
·         Using eye shadow during the day is not necessary but if you really should then use light/nude colors.
·         You can also wear kajal or eye liner to make your eyes to look gorgeous.

·         Try not to use any kind of lip wear during fasting or u can try some organic lip balm (make sure, u don’t ingest it).

Ramadan Kareem  and  Stay Blessed..

Love <3
